Manicure & Pedicure

To introduce students to the theory, fundamentals and tools of Hair Care, To identify the structure of the hand and foot, To identify conditions of the nail and skin, To have basic hygiene and safety measures to maintain a healthy environment in the beauty clinic, To conduct a comprehensive client consultation, To demonstrate skills in manicure and pedicure treatments, Prepare the client & trolley for service, Identify basic hand tools (Nail file, cuticle cleaner and buffer, Nail cutter, nail cleaner) and their use, Adjust the positioning of the client to ensure easy process and minimal injury, Clean and dry the hand/ feet of client as a part of preparation, Apply cuticle softener product during the cuticle cutting process and ensure no damage to the cuticle and nail plate, Remove any excessive hard skin using foot scrape among without discomfort to the client, Apply suitable base coat /nail polish & topcoat relevant to the clients need, Clean the treated area and use suitable soothing product, Definition, purpose, Introduction, tools and equipments, application of creams and lotion, methods/types of pedicure and manicure. Hand and leg massages step by step procedure – Nail Art: Factors affecting nail growth. Introduction equipments and tools, types of nail polish, application and their methods. Different methods of nail art – Mehandi: Introduction, preparation of Mehandi paste, Mehandi cone preparation and application on hands and legs.

 Temporary Removal of Superfluous hair

Threading, Tweezing and Bleaching

Practice of waxing, Threading &Tweezing, Epilation & depilation the eyebrows, Carry out patch test, bleaching, waxing, threading, eyebrow shaping, tweezing. Differentiate expiation & depilation and explain bleaching composition, Providing clear instructions to the client on how & when to support their skin throughout the service, Creating a well balanced, proportioned and defined eye brow shape to suit the client’s requirement, Apply the wax and remove correctly based on manufacture instructions, Prepare the client for hair removal, Apply the correct pre wax product prior to waxing, Carry out the process using the tools & material (Hot wax, cold wax, strips etc.).

Basic Hair Styling

Practice basic hair styling with use of hair accessories and thermal equipment, Practice in different types of traditional hair styling techniques:- Rolls Braids Interlocks Twisting styles, Knowledge of Facial Shapes, Purpose, Types of hairstyling, Artificial Aids, Thermal styling, Practice in different techniques of hair styling : Thermal styling Roller Setting  Artificial Aids, Styling -Single Roll, French Roll, Multiple Roll, Fixing of loose hair piece on client’s head, Evening Hair styles, party hair style, bridal hair style, Procedures of Thermal Styling using different tools and equipments, Evening Hair styles, party hair style, bridal hair style and ramp hair styles, Styling on Artificial Aids.

Basic Makeup & Bindi Designing, Facials

Sterilization & Sanitation

Practice in using of all equipments use for sterilizing & sanitizing, Safety Precaution /do’s & don’ts, Methods, Purpose, Demonstrate Sterilization & Sanitation Procedure, Sanitation and sterilization of implements, Principles of prevention: Sterilization and Sterilization, Procedure of sterilization and sanitation, Chemical sanitizing and sterilizing agents, Public sanitation, Common terms used in relation to disinfection, Methods of sterilization and sanitation, General suggestions for sanitation, Sterilization and sanitization of used tools/ equipment, Sterilization and disinfection techniques, equipment and instructions Knowledge of different transmission of diseases because of lack of sanitization including hepatitis (B and C) and contagious skin infections/diseases.

Scalp Massage, Shampooing/Conditioning, Rinsing

Basic massage, manipulation and practice preparing the client, draping procedure, material used, setting of trolley, application of shampoo, rinsing correct way of towed drying, Procedure of giving a Shampoo, conditioner & Rinsing, Practice in uses of gadgets as-High frequency, Infra Red Lamp, Scalp Steamer for treatment of hair & scalp, Knowledge of different gadgets for scalp treatment, Safety Precaution / Do’s & don’ts, Types and benefits of massage, Tools, equipment & product knowledge, Use massage technique according to clients need. Scrub the leg (below the knee) &feet and Anti-tan pack application.
